Nunavik

Pendant mon baccalauréat en géographie de 2017 à 2020, j’ai commencé à apprendre l’innu, pas comme je l’aurais dû puisque dans ma famille notre langue est morte avec mon arrière grand-mère maternelle, partie trop jeune, mais dans les classes de l’Université de Montréal. Comme si les racines m’appelaient, j’ai aussi eu la chance de collaborer sur différents projets de recherche au Nunavik, dans le nord du Québec. J’ai passé un temps précieux sur le terrain à Kawawachikamach et Kangiqsualujjuaq en 2019. Cliquez ici pour en apprendre davantage sur ma recherche.

During my undergrad in Geography from 2017 to 2020, I started learning innu, not how I should have, as in my family our language died with my great grand-mother, gone too young, but in University of Montreal’s classrooms. As if the roots were calling, I also got to collaborate on various research projects in Nunavik, in northern Quebec. I spent a precious and most nourishing time in Kawawachikamach and Kangiqsualujjuaq in 2019. Click here to learn more about my research.
